Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Secondary Cover Supervisor to support multiple secondary schools across South Gloucestershire. The role offers daily supply opportunities with flexible placements and a pay rate of £120-£140 per day, starting September 2026.

You will supervise lessons, deliver pre-prepared materials, and help maintain a positive and productive learning environment, while collaborating with staff and leaders across partner schools.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and ensuring students remain engaged with their work.
• Maintaining a positive, safe and productive classroom environment.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies and expectations.
• Supporting students with their learning and encouraging positive participation.
• Liaising with teaching staff and school leaders where appropriate.
