Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Cover Supervisor for a mainstream secondary school in Duffryn, Newport. This is a long-term temporary post with an immediate start for someone who can supervise classes across the secondary age range, deliver pre-planned work and manage behaviour to keep students engaged.

The role requires a relevant qualification or degree (desirable), experience with secondary students, and strong communication and organisational skills.

Salary: £108 - £120 per day

The school is looking to appoint a confident Cover Supervisor on a long-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise classes across the secondary age range, deliver pre-planned work, manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain focused and engaged in their learning.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• A relevant qualification or degree is desirable
• Experience working with secondary-aged students
• Experience supervising groups of young people
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A confident, adaptable and enthusiastic approach
