Job summary

Exclusive Education seeks a Cover Supervisor to work across KS3 and KS4 in schools around St Helens. The role requires prior Cover Supervisor experience and involves delivering pre-prepared materials, maintaining discipline, and supporting pupils with tasks from the KS3/KS4 curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions.
• Maintain good order, discipline and behaviour in line with school policies.
• Take registers and monitor student attendance.
• Support students in understanding tasks set, without teaching new content.
• Ensure the safety and welfare of pupils at all times.
• Collect completed work and provide feedback to teaching staff on participation and behaviour.
• Manage classroom resources and equipment appropriately.
• Respond to minor incidents and refer more serious issues to senior staff.
• Assist with other school duties such as break-time supervision, examinations, or administrative tasks when required.
