Job summary

The Education Specialists are seeking a confident Cover Supervisor to join a well-established secondary school in Oldham for the remainder of the academic year. This full-time, long-term placement will provide classroom cover across KS3 and KS4.

The role offers a competitive daily rate of £95.00–£120.00 (dependent on experience), ongoing CPD, and dedicated consultant support. A suitable enhanced DBS and QTS or equivalent are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with young people (school-based desirable).
• Confident managing a classroom independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and adaptable approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through The Education Specialists.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour.
• Support a positive and structured learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

The Education Specialist is seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a well-established secondary school in Oldham, rated Good by Ofsted. This is a full-time, long-term position for the remainder of the academic year, providing classroom cover across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). The school has a strong behaviour policy in place and a supportive senior leadership team, making it an excellent environment for a Cover Supervisor looking to gain experience in a secondary school setting.
