Job summary

TeacherActive in the North West is seeking Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in St Helens on day-to-day, short-term and potential permanent assignments.

You will deliver pre-set lessons, manage classroom behaviour and keep students aged 11 to 16 engaged, while adapting to different subjects and departments. A CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent experience is preferred, with strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• CACHE Level 2/3 qualification or a minimum of 6 months' experience working with young people
• Good general knowledge of the secondary curriculum across a range of subjects
• Confidence managing classes of students aged 11 to 16
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A flexible and proactive approach to working across different departments and year groups

Responsibilities

We are recruiting for Cover Supervisors to work on day-to-day, long-term and potential permanent assignments. As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-set lessons across a range of subjects, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students aged 11 to 16 remain motivated, engaged and on task throughout the school day. A good general knowledge of the secondary curriculum and the confidence to adapt to different subject areas will help you succeed in this rewarding role. The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• CACHE Level 2/3 qualification or a minimum of 6 months' experience working with young people
