Job summary

Choice Teachers are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our network of Peterborough secondary schools. You will supervise classes, deliver pre-prepared work and support students to learn in a friendly, professional environment.

We welcome graduates from all backgrounds who are enthusiastic, reliable and committed to developing a career in education. Enhanced DBS is required, and previous experience with children is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS must be attained.
• Strong communication skills expected.
• Confident, enthusiastic and reliable in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver pre prepared lesson work.
• Support students with their learning.
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment and build relationships with students and staff.
• Gain experience across different secondary school settings.

Pay: £90 - £110 per day

Choice Teachers are working with a large network of secondary schools across Peterborough who are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to join their teams through our agency.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands on classroom experience, develop your confidence working with young people and get a genuine insight into life within a secondary school.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
• Deliver pre prepared lesson work
• Support students with their learning

• Gain valuable experience across different secondary school settings

Who We're Looking For

We welcome applications from graduates of all backgrounds who are considering a career in education.

Previous experience working with children or young people would be ideal, such as:

• Tutoring
• Sports coaching
• Youth work
• Mentoring
• Volunteering
• Teaching or classroom experience

However, this is not a deal breaker. We are particularly interested in candidates who are confident, enthusiastic, responsible and genuinely interested in working with young people.
