Job summary

Supply Team Education Ltd is currently recruiting a Cover Supervisor to work in secondary schools in the Newport area. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in working within education or re-entering a school setting.

You will support teachers, supervise classroom activity, manage behaviour and help maintain a safe learning environment. DBS disclosure and EWC registration are required, with access to ongoing training and development.

Responsibilities

• Supervising work that has been left for the class and ensuring acceptable behaviour is maintained during the lesson
• Ensuring any worksheets / books are collected at the end of a lesson and subsequent setting of homework left by the class Teacher
• Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
• Reporting of any disruptive or escalating behaviour, in line with school policy
• Ensure that the classroom is left tidy at the end of each lesson
• Undertake form/lunchtime/break duties including registration cover, as directed

Cover Supervisor Newport

Supply Team are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to work within Secondary schools in the Newport area. With a busy Academic year ahead, this position is a great opportunity for anyone interested in working within Education, or getting back into working within a school setting.

If you are a Newly Qualified Teacher, this is a great opportunity to introduce yourself to the schools in Newport, and provides a fantastic platform from which to build strong links within the Education system, which can ultimately lead to permanent opportunities in the future.

It is also a great way to work in multiple schools, giving you first-hand insight into the environment, culture and ethos of each setting. You will then be able to build a picture of where your abilites are best suited.

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and confident individual who is passionate about working with pupils of all ages. Whether you have been a Sports Coach, have been involved in Youth Work or Counselling, spent time in the Armed Forces, taken part in Summer Camps anything of that nature you will have the transferable skills required to undertake this Cover Supervisor post.
