Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Cover Supervisor for a welcoming secondary school in Gedling, Nottingham. You will supervise KS3/KS4 classes, deliver pre-planned lessons, and foster a positive learning environment.

The role offers flexible supply arrangements with potential long-term progression, ongoing CPD via My-Progression, and a dedicated recruitment consultant to support you throughout placements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students stay engaged.
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Supporting students with their learning and answering questions where appropriate.
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Building positive relationships with staff and students.

Pay: £95-£110 per day
