The Supply Register Ltd. in partnership with The Pinnacle Learning Trust is recruiting a dedicated Cover Supervisor for The Hathershaw College in Oldham. This role offers hands-on classroom experience supporting pupil learning across subject areas.

Ideal candidates will have experience with secondary students, strong communication and classroom management skills, and a genuine interest in education. The post is based on-site within a thriving secondary school setting.

• Has experience working with secondary-aged students or young people in a similar setting.

Responsabilités

• Lead classroom sessions using lesson materials provided by teaching staff.
• Encourage students to stay engaged and complete the work set.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and conduct throughout lessons.
• Create an orderly, inclusive, and purposeful learning environment.
• Provide guidance and support to students where appropriate.
• Record attendance, behaviour, and lesson outcomes as required.
• Share feedback with teaching staff following lessons.
• Contribute to the day-to-day running of the school.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee lessons in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain focused, engaged, and on task throughout the school day. You will be responsible for delivering work that has been prepared in advance, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supporting students to achieve their best.

Working across a range of subject areas, you will become an important part of the wider school team, helping to ensure learning continues seamlessly when teachers are unavailable.
