Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools across Glossop. Start date is ASAP with flexible full-time/part-time contracts.

You will supervise classes when teachers are absent, deliver prepared materials, and help maintain a positive learning environment for ages 11–16. DBS clearance is preferred, and strong reliability is expected for this role.

• Ability to engage with young people aged 11-16.
• Confident classroom presence and behaviour management skills.
• Flexible to work across different subjects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across all key stages (KS3 and KS4) in the absence of subject teachers.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain on task.
• Maintain classroom discipline and promote positive behaviour.
• Support students with their learning and answer questions where appropriate.
• Take accurate registers and report any concerns to relevant staff.
• Assist with general school duties as required.
• Follow school policies and procedures at all times.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor’s to work in secondary school’s across Glossop. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a positive impact on students’ education while gaining valuable experience in a school environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes when teachers are absent, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment. This role is ideal for graduates, career changers, or those considering a future in teaching.

Key Responsibilities

• Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
