Job summary

Copleston High School in Ipswich is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team. You will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning by ensuring students continue to learn effectively when teachers are absent, in a centralised cover model.

Join us to help maintain a calm, productive learning environment and work with the Senior Leadership Team to support students’ independent learning and progress.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people is desirable.
• Ability to support learning when teachers are absent.
• Experience in a centralised cover provision is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning during teacher absence.
• Maintain calm, purposeful learning environment.
• Assist SLT and colleagues to supervise students.

Copleston High School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in supporting teaching and learning by ensuring students continue to learn effectively when teachers are absent.

The majority of our cover provision is delivered through a centralised model, with students working in supervised study environments rather than being dispersed across multiple classrooms. This allows Cover Supervisors to work alongside members of the Senior Leadership Team and other colleagues to maintain a calm, purposeful and productive learning environment while supporting students' independent learning.
