Job summary

Connex Education is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to support a range of secondary schools around Cirencester from September 2026. This role offers short-term and long-term opportunities with flexible assignments and training provided.

You will oversee lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students stay engaged, productive, and focused on learning. A DBS update service is preferred or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in any setting is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence managing groups of students within a classroom environment.
• Reliable, adaptable, and proactive approach to work.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

£120–£160 per day (depending on experience)

Connex Education is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to support a range of secondary schools across the Cirencester area from September 2026. With both short-term and long-term opportunities available, this role is perfect for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, or anyone interested in building a career within education. Training provided!

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for overseeing lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, productive, and focused on their learning.
