Job summary

Novus Gower is seeking a Cover Supervisor to ensure smooth delivery of learner-focused education at HMP Parc, Bridgend, Wales. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, permanent, with responsibilities to support learners and work with senior leaders to drive efficiency.

Applicants should ideally hold a teaching qualification and Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy. DBS checks will be required; safeguarding is a priority.

We have a great opportunity available to join Novus Gower, our prison education provider at HMP Parc, working as a Cover Supervisor. This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis, working 40 hours per week.

Site Information

HMP Parc is a Category B men's prison located in Bridgend, Wales. The prison accommodates individuals who have been convicted of various offenses requiring secure custody and rehabilitation. The prisons aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe at all times. The prison’s mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.

Role Responsibilities

As a Cover Supervisor you will help to coordinate high quality, learner-focused education provision to meet contractual requirements and standards, in line with Novus Gower policies and procedure. Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to:
