Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Cover Supervisor to work in a welcoming secondary school in Sinfin, Derby. You will supervise KS3- KS4 classes when teachers are absent, deliver pre-planned lessons, manage behaviour, and support students to stay engaged.

This role offers flexible supply with potential long-term placements, competitive daily rates, and access to free CPD via our My-Progression platform, supported by a dedicated recruitment consultant.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Confidence in leading groups of students independently.
• A flexible, proactive and professional approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people's education.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of the regular teacher.
