Job summary

Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor looking for a new opportunity from September? We are currently recruiting a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in Barking & Dagenham.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and can confidently manage a classroom in the absence of the usual teacher.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervising lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Delivering pre-set work and supporting students with their learning
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Supporting students across different subjects and year groups
• Ensuring students remain focused and engaged

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working with young people or in a school environment
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and organisation
• A confident, calm and adaptable approach
• Availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week
