Job summary

Coventry University Group is seeking a Course Leader SEND based at the National Institute of Teaching & Education in Milton Keynes. You will lead teaching and assessment across teacher training, focusing on SEND, inclusion and adaptive teaching, working with partners to deliver an outstanding trainee experience.

You will bring QTS, a strong SEND understanding and a track record of mentoring and leading in specialist settings to shape practice and outcomes for learners.

Qualifications

• You will need to have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and significant experience of teaching and leading in specialist settings.
• You will be a qualified and committed education professional, holding a good honours degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with a strong understanding of SEND and inclusive practice.
• You will have mentored, coached or supported trainee teachers and early career colleagues to strengthen inclusive teaching approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across teacher training programmes with a focus on SEND and inclusion.
• Collaborate with Heads of Delivery, programme teams and partner schools to ensure outstanding trainee experience.
• Contribute to curriculum design, quality assurance and the development of SEND provision in line with legislation and priorities.
