Job summary

The University of Brighton is seeking a Course Administrator for the College Office - Creativity, Technology and Society. Based at Moulsecoomb Campus, you will handle enquiries, provide information on university services and support course teams with a range of administrative tasks.

You will work with the Academic Administration Manager and Senior Course Administrators, delivering a friendly, efficient service to students, staff and external stakeholders while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering a broad range of customer-focused enquiry and support services.
  • Experience carrying out organisational and administrative duties.
  • Ability to produce written communications clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work proactively to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Handle enquiries from students, staff and external stakeholders via multiple channels.
  • Provide information and advice on University-wide services, policies and procedures.
  • Deliver administrative support for course teams and manage a range of tasks.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and timely responses.

Salary: £27,319 to £30,378 per annum

Are you interested in working as a Course Administrator supporting our staff and students? If so, then we would love to hear from you.

Working with the Academic Administration Manager and Senior Course Administrators, you will utilise your strong administrative and organisational skills to plan, prioritise and manage a range of work activities.

This includes handling enquiries received through different routes, providing information and advice on University-wide services, policies and procedures, and administrative support for course teams. We will also want you to provide a friendly and efficient service for students, staff, visitors, and other external stakeholders, within agreed customer service levels and standards.

To Be Successful In This Role You Should Have
  • Experience of delivering a broad range customer-focussed enquiry and support services
  • Experience of carrying out a range of organisational and administrative duties
  • The ability to produce written communications clearly and concisely
  • The ability to work proactively to ensure effective service delivery
  • The ability to use Microsoft Office computer programs to a high standard

This is a full-time (37 hours) fixed term contract that ends on 29 February 2028 and we welcome applications from candidates seeking to job share.

The role is based on our Moulsecoomb Campus but there are opportunities for some remote working too.
