Job summary

EMED Group is seeking a Team Leader for its Courier Services in Northwest London. You will provide first-line management support to operational staff and ensure high-quality service for customers and employees.

You will lead courier drivers, monitor performance, and work with the Operations and Contract Managers to meet contractual standards, health and safety, and data integrity. An emphasis on coaching, engagement and continuous improvement will guide daily actions.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Experience in a highly regulated, complex operational environment (healthcare logistics or courier services).
• Experience leading, coaching or supervising operational colleagues, ideally within multi-site or shift-based service.
• Passion for patient care, customer service and delivering a reliable courier service.
• Computer literacy – Microsoft Office and payroll packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day activities of Courier Drivers, ensuring deployment, communication and support across the service.
• Support Operations Manager and Contract Manager in delivering contractual requirements and KPIs.
• Monitor activity, route performance, driver availability and operational risks, escalating issues as needed.
• Provide ideas and recommendations to improve service delivery, efficiency, quality and customer experience.
• Promote safety, reliability and service excellence through leadership and coaching.
