Primary Purpose of the Role:
Oversee the business's strategy, operations, and financial performance, ensuring smooth transactions, compliance, and customer satisfaction while driving growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Execute and deliver on the firm's approved three-year business plan and develop and implement the firm's remittance strategy, focusing on market expansion, product innovation, and operational efficiency.
- Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of the remittance business, including transaction processing, customer service, risk management, and compliance with regulations (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC)). Monitor and analyse financial performance, manage budgets, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth.
- Customer Focus: Ensure the implementation of the Consumer Duty across all business functions. Ensure a positive customer experience, address enquiries, resolve issues, and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Maintain a strong compliance framework, adhering to relevant regulations and industry standards and mitigating risks associated with money transfers.
- Technology and Innovation: Identify and implement new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and enhance the customer experience.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners and regulators.
Skills and Attributes:
- Suitable knowledge and experience in payment services in the United Kingdom, especially remittance services;
- Must have a robust understanding of the leading remittance markets in Sub-Saharan Africa and the company's target markets, including Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Uganda;
- The candidate must be of good repute, with appropriate skills to perform the duties of the Country Manager of a remittance business;
- Must have a strong understanding of the UK regulatory environment and the Payment Services Regulations 2017, especially the regulations on money remittances;
- Must have demonstrable capacity to lead and manage senior managers.
Training:
- Up-to-date, relevant training regarding payment services, especially remittances.
Experience:
- Having previously held similar roles, such as Business Development Manager, executive director, sales director, director or a similar approved position in remittance business, will be an added advantage.
Employment Time:
- Full-time (Monday – Friday) from the firm's Head Office in the UK.
