Job summary

HF Holidays is seeking a Country House Assistant Manager to support the House Manager in delivering exceptional guest service across our Derwent Bank country house. You will oversee front-of-house operations, ensure rooms and public areas meet brand standards, and work with the maintenance team to maintain property appearance.

As a key leader, you will develop staff culture, coordinate with HR and central ops on safety, purchasing and stock control, and be prepared to deputise for the House

Qualifications

• Commercial background in Tourism or Hospitality.
• Exemplary customer service and strong team leadership.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Guest Service Excellence: engage guests and maintain a warm, friendly atmosphere.
• Front of House Management: lead the front of house team and ensure rooms/public areas meet brand standards.
• Property Maintenance and Appearance: assist with repairs and upkeep of grounds to reflect brand.
• Team Development & Culture: foster teamwork, especially with staff living on site.
• Centralised Support: coordinate with HR and operations for safety, purchasing and stock control.
• Deputise for the House Manager during days off and holidays.
