Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for a Counterbalance & Reach Truck Operative to join our well-established client in Southport, Merseyside. You will operate FLT Counterbalance and Reach Trucks, carry out safety checks and assist with receiving, putaway and dispatch.

The role offers full-time hours Monday to Friday with no weekends, a £14.02 per hour rate, weekly pay, full training and on-site parking, with immediate starts available.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT Counterbalance licence.
• Valid FLT Reach Truck licence.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Experience using SAP transactions in warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Operate FLT Counterbalance and Reach Trucks safely and efficiently.
• Carry out daily forklift safety checks.
• Receive, put away, pick, pack and dispatch materials.
• Record warehouse activities in SAP MRP system.
• Check goods received and identify discrepancies.
• Conduct stock counts as per procedures.
• Participate in daily team meetings and meet warehouse targets.
• Coordinate with delivery drivers on site access and safety.

Counterbalance & Reach Truck Operative - Southport, Merseyside

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Counterbalance & Reach Truck Operative to join our well-established client based in Southport, Merseyside.

£14.02 per hour, weekly pay, ongoing work, immediate starts and consistent Monday to Friday working hours, with an early finish every Friday.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an FLT Counterbalance Driver, FLT Reach Truck Driver, Forklift Truck Operator, Warehouse Operative or Goods In Operative and hold valid Counterbalance and Reach Truck licences.

Shifts

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Friday: 8:00am - 1:00pm
• Full-time, Monday to Friday working
• Early finish every Friday
• No weekend working

Day-to-Day Duties

• Operating FLT Counterbalance and Reach Trucks safely and efficiently
• Carrying out daily forklift safety checks
• Receiving, putting away, picking, packing and dispatching materials
• Accurately recording warehouse activities using the SAP MRP system
• Checking goods received and identifying any quality or quantity discrepancies
• Completing stock checks and stocktakes in line with company procedures
• Participating in daily team meetings and working towards warehouse targets
• Meeting delivery drivers on arrival and communicating site access and safety procedures
• Supporting the safe loading and unloading of vehicles
• Carrying out manual handling duties safely and efficiently
• Maintaining accurate warehouse records and inventory information
• Following all Health & Safety procedures at all times

Essential Skills

• Valid FLT Counterbalance licence
• Valid FLT Reach Truck licence
• Previous experience working within a warehouse environment
• Experience using SAP transactions within a warehouse environment
• Good IT literacy and confidence using warehouse systems
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively within a small team
• Positive, reliable and flexible approach to work
