Job summary

Bam Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Forklift Driver / Logistics Operative for Weston-super-Mare to join an established engineering and manufacturing business. This hands-on role spans the warehouse and wider site to keep materials and finished goods moving, with duties across loading, dispatch, stock control and team support.

You will operate a counterbalance forklift, assist with loading/unloading, and help maintain safe, orderly stock areas while adhering to site procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance forklift licence.
• Valid driving licence.
• Previous experience in warehouse, logistics or manufacturing.
• Comfortable working as part of a team but able to work independently.
• Good awareness of Health & Safety.
• Comfortable with manual handling and a hands-on environment.
• Basic computer skills for stock control.

Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely around the site.
• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Moving and storing materials and finished products.
• Picking, preparing and dispatching goods.
• Keeping stock and warehouse areas organised.
• Checking deliveries and reporting discrepancies.
• Supporting the wider production and logistics team when needed.
• Following site Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
