Job summary

The Recruit UK is seeking a reliable Warehouse/FLT Driver Counterbalance to join our logistics team in the Winsford area. You will operate forklifts, manage goods movement, and support shipping and receiving activities in a busy warehouse.

We value safety, accuracy, and a hands-on approach to maintenance and stock control. Experience with warehouse management systems is preferred, as is an in-date FLT counterbalance license.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking movements.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and troubleshooting.
• Strong materials handling techniques with focus on safety and efficiency.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely on a regular basis.
• Good basic math skills for counting and verification of shipments.
• Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and documentation requirements.
• Depict reliability, organization, and attention to detail in a warehousing role.
• A VALID INDATE FLT COUNTER BALANCE LICENSE IS ESSENTIAL.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using warehouse management systems.
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
• Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper storage, stacking, and organization within the warehouse.
• Support stock replenishment efforts by organizing storage areas and preparing items for dispatch.
• Conduct regular safety checks and adhere to health and safety protocols during all operations.
• Assist with inventory counts, audits, and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow processes and improve overall warehouse productivity.
