Job summary

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver for a leading food manufacturing site in Leicestershire. You will support the warehouse team by moving stock, loading deliveries, and ensuring timely dispatch.

Two shifts are available, 40 hours per week, with overtime. A reliable, detail‑focused candidate with own transport for early starts will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance forklift experience is essential.
• Previous warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with stock counting and stock control.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work, with own transport where required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload deliveries from lorries and wagons.
• Load finished goods for dispatch and meet transport deadlines.
• Move stock from bulk storage to production areas to prevent delays.
• Check incoming deliveries including temperatures, dates and quantities.
• Maintain accurate stock records and carry out stock counts.
• Follow stock rotation procedures and complete daily forklift checks.
• Check and sign delivery/dispatch paperwork and keep areas clean and organised.
• Coordinate with production leaders to plan stock replenishment and dispatch.
• Report to Warehouse Team Leader and support daily operations.
