Job summary

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver for a leading food manufacturing company based in Leicestershire. You will join the warehouse team to ensure raw materials are supplied to production areas on time and finished goods are loaded for dispatch, playing a key role in keeping warehouse operations running smoothly and meeting production deadlines.

Two shift patterns are available: 6:00am–3:00pm, 8:00am–5:00pm, and 9:00am–6:00pm, each 40

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience with counterbalance forklift operation.
• Ability to count stock and manage stock movements accurately.
• Good communication and teamwork to coordinate with production and dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading deliveries from lorries and wagons.
• Loading finished goods for dispatch and meeting transport deadlines.
• Move stock from bulk storage to production areas to prevent delays.
• Check deliveries for temperatures, dates and quantities and store correctly.
• Maintain accurate stock records and carry out stock counts.
• Follow stock rotation procedures.
• Complete daily forklift check sheets and warehouse cleanliness records.
• Sign delivery and dispatch paperwork.
