Job summary

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a growing team at a well-established manufacturing and distribution business based in Lutterworth. The role involves loading and unloading, operating a forklift and gantry crane, moving stock, and recording movements.

You will work 42.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with a 06:30-16:00 or 08:00-17:30 shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Must hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence.
• Experience operating a forklift in a busy warehouse environment.
• Gantry crane experience would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of health and safety within a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading containers and trailers carrying heavy materials.
• Operating a forklift to move and position materials safely.
• Using a gantry crane to handle heavy materials.
• Moving stock around the warehouse.
• Inspecting stock and reporting any damage.
• Recording stock movements using a mobile terminal.

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a growing team at a well-established manufacturing and distribution business based in Lutterworth.

Following significant expansion and the relocation of their Head Office and Distribution Centre, our client is building a new warehouse team and is looking for reliable and experienced individuals to join them on a permanent basis.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring workloads are completed safely, efficiently and productively, while supporting the wider warehouse operation.

Duties will include:

• Loading and unloading containers and trailers carrying heavy materials
• Operating a forklift to move and position materials safely
• Using a gantry crane to handle heavy materials
• Moving stock around the warehouse
• Inspecting stock and reporting any damage
• Recording stock movements using a mobile terminal
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment
• Working as part of a new team to achieve departmental and facility objectives

£30,500 per annum

42.5 hours per week

Monday - Friday

Shift pattern: 06:30 - 16:00 or 08:00 - 17:30

The Ideal Candidate
