Job summary

Select Appointments in Norwich is seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative for a busy food production environment. The role offers a temp-to-perm path with rotating shifts and weekly pay, and you will help move stock safely between warehouse and production areas.

The successful candidate will hold a valid Counterbalance license, have forklift experience, and work well in a team while maintaining high safety and cleanliness standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid in date Counterbalance Forklift license.
• Previous Counterbalance Forklift experience.
• Experience working within a warehouse, production or logistics environment.
• Confident loading and unloading vehicles.
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on safety.
• Reliable, hard-working and able to work as part of a team.
• Comfortable working rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck across warehouse and production areas.
• Move, locate, relocate and stack finished products and materials.
• Load and unload lorries, trailers and containers.
• Move pallets between production areas and warehouse storage.
• Complete stock movements, stock counts and pallet checks.
• Ensure products are stored safely and correctly.
• Carry out daily forklift safety checks and report any faults.
• Use scanners and computer systems to record stock movements.
• Complete loading, unloading and delivery paperwork.
• Re-stack and reorganise pallets where required.
• Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and food hygiene.

Are you an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver looking for a long-term opportunity in a busy food production environment? Our client is looking for a reliable and hard-working Warehouse Operative to join their team in Norwich, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

• Rotating shifts: 6:00am–2:00pm / 2:00pm–10:00pm

About the role
