Job summary

Gi Group in Patchway is seeking a Counterbalance Forklift Operator for a temp-to-perm role with immediate start. Shift pattern Monday to Friday with rotating 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm, paying £13.85 per hour.

You’ll handle goods in/goods out, stock checks and warehouse duties, using tablets and ERP systems, with focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or forklift experience preferred.
• Valid, expired or in‑house Counterbalance licence accepted.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and safety‑conscious.
• Basic IT skills, including using tablets and scanners for stock control, ERP system usage, and updating quantities.

Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift (valid, expired or in‑house licences accepted).
• Picking, packing and general warehouse duties.
• Managing Goods In / Goods Out processes.
• Using warehouse systems for stock checks, bookings and inventory updates.
• Maintaining racking, stock rotation and warehouse organisation.
• Supporting manual handling tasks, including occasional heavy lifting.

We’re recruiting an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join a fast‑growing business in Patchway (BS34). This is a temp‑to‑perm role offering long‑term stability, progression and a supportive team environment.

Role Details of a Counterbalance Forklift Operator

• Hours: Monday to Friday – rotating weekly (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm)
• Pay Rate: £13.85 per hour
• Start Date: Immediate
• Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities of a Counterbalance Forklift Operator

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift (valid, expired or in‑house licences accepted)
