Job description

Tennial Personnel are recruiting Forklift Truck Drivers to join a well-established pet food manufacturing company based in Hadleigh, Suffolk. This is a temporary-to-permanent role, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful 12-week probation period.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business where you will play a key role in supporting warehouse operations, ensuring materials and finished goods are moved safely and efficiently throughout the site. The successful candidate will be safety-conscious, reliable, and confident operating a forklift truck within a fast-paced production environment.

Please Note: This role involves working within a pet food manufacturing environment, which can be a dusty environment at times due to the nature of the products and production processes. Candidates must be comfortable working in these conditions.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 3:00PM - 11:00PM

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift truck safely and efficiently to move raw materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse and production areas
• Load and unload deliveries in line with company procedures
• Transport stock to production lines and designated storage locations
• Carry out stock movements and ensure accurate storage of products
• Assist with goods in and goods out operations
• Conduct routine pre-use forklift checks and report any defects promptly
• Support general warehouse duties, including manual handling where required
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Work collaboratively with warehouse and production teams to meet operational targets

Skills Required

• Confident and competent operating a forklift truck in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Good awareness of health and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible
• Physically capable of carrying out manual handling duties when required
• Comfortable working within a dusty manufacturing environment

Qualifications Required
