Job summary

Hales Group Ltd in Bury St Edmunds is seeking experienced Forklift Drivers for a busy operation. The role offers long-term work, rotating shifts, and opportunities for overtime and training.

You will operate counterbalance forklifts, load/unload vehicles, move stock, and assist production and warehouse teams while maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety. Competitive hourly pay is available.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence is required.
• Experience operating forklifts in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or logistics.
• Strong health and safety awareness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles and move stock around the site.
• Complete warehouse and stock movement documentation accurately.

We are currently seeking experienced Forklift Drivers to join a busy and fast-paced operation in Bury St Edmunds. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering long-term work, competitive rates of pay, and the chance to be part of a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Counterbalance Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Moving stock, raw materials, and finished goods throughout the site
• Carrying out routine vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Accurately completing warehouse and stock movement documentation
• Supporting production and warehouse teams as required
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety

What We're Looking For

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• Previous experience operating forklifts within a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or logistics environment
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including days, nights and weekends where required
