Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of our client in Stalybridge for a FLT Counterbalance Driver / Yard Operative to join their growing team. This role involves loading and unloading, yard work and helping with stock movement, in a busy environment where no two days are the same.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, earning £14.47 per hour with overtime after 7.5 hours. Start date is 14th September 2026, with full training provided and a friendly, supportive team

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles using a Counterbalance FLT.
• Work outdoors in the yard environment.
• Sort materials and identify recyclable items.
• Pack and unpack materials as required.
• Assist with material handling and stock movement.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support the wider yard operation as needed.
