Job summary

The Best Connection seeks a FLT Counterbalance Driver / Yard Operative in Stalybridge, Greater Manchester. Immediate start available at £14.47 per hour. Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm, with full training and a friendly team environment. Overtime paid at time and a half after 7.5 hours daily.

Potential for long-term employment. Start date 14th September 2026. Role involves loading/unloading, yard duties, stock movement, and strict adherence to health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence.
• Experience working in a yard environment is desirable.
• Ability to load/unload vehicles and handle materials safely.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles using a Counterbalance FLT.
• Work outdoors in the yard environment.
• Sort materials and identify recyclables.
• Pack and unpack materials as required.
• Assist with material handling and stock movement.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support the wider yard operation as required.

What You'll Be Doing

• Loading and unloading vehicles using a Counterbalance FLT
• Working outdoors within the yard environment
• Sorting materials and identifying recyclable items
• Packing and unpacking materials
• Assisting with material handling and stock movement
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Supporting the wider yard operation as required
• Hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence

Working Hours

Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
