Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting in Stalybridge for a FLT Counterbalance Driver / Yard Operative to join a well-established client. This is an immediate start with full training provided.

You'll load/unload vehicles using a Counterbalance FLT, work outdoors in the yard, sort materials, pack/unpack, and support stock movement while following health and safety rules. Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00-16:00. Pay £14.47/hour. Start 14th September 2026.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence is required.
• Willingness to work outdoors in a yard environment.
• Ability to assist with material handling and stock movement.

The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of our well-established client in Stalybridge for a FLT Counterbalance Driver / Yard Operative to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a busy environment where no two days are the same.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Loading and unloading vehicles using a Counterbalance FLT
• Working outdoors within the yard environment
• Sorting materials and identifying recyclable items
• Packing and unpacking materials
• Assisting with material handling and stock movement

• Supporting the wider yard operation as required

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00am - 4:00pm

Pay & Benefits:

• £14.47 per hour
• Overtime paid at Time & Half after 7.5 hours worked per day
