Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting in Stalybridge for a FLT Counterbalance Driver / Yard Operative to join a well-established client. This is an immediate start with full training provided.

You'll load/unload vehicles using a Counterbalance FLT, work outdoors in the yard, sort materials, pack/unpack, and support stock movement while following health and safety rules. Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00-16:00. Pay £14.47/hour. Start 14th September 2026.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence is required.
• Willingness to work outdoors in a yard environment.
• Ability to assist with material handling and stock movement.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading vehicles using a Counterbalance FLT.
• Working outdoors within the yard environment.
• Sorting materials and identifying recyclable items.
• Packing and unpacking materials.
• Assisting with material handling and stock movement.
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.
• Supporting the wider yard operation as required.
