Job summary

Randstad UK is recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver (FLT) in Grays, Essex, to join a manufacturing and logistics environment. The role covers day to night 4-crew shifts, operating a counterbalance FLT and handling pallets to support production movement.

You will hold an in-date RTITB/ITSSAR/AITT license and have at least two years of experience, with a focus on safety and accurate pallet placement. Weekly pay and long-term temp-to-perm opportunities are available, with onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a Counterbalance FLT (minimum 2 years).
• In-date accredited FLT license (RTITB/ITSSAR/AITT).
• Willingness to commit to a 4-crew shift pattern.
• Good verbal and written communication; proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Move loaded pallets from palletization to wrapper and then to floor spots.
• Move empty pallets from rack to floor.
• Operate the wrapper machine as required.
• Maintain high safety and area cleanliness standards.
• Ensure pallets are placed accurately in designated floor spots.
• Stay aware of pedestrians when working in shared spaces.

Counterbalance Forklift Driver (FLT) - 4-Crew Shift Pattern

We are pleased to be recruiting a Counterbalance Forklift driver on behalf of our industry-leading client, who manufactures world-famous consumer household brands and personal hygiene products. Position Details

Location: Grays, West Thurrock, Essex, RM20 4AL

Shift Pattern: 4-Crew shift pattern (Days: 06:00 to 18:00 / Nights: 18:00 to 06:00)

Contract Type: Long-term assignment

Pay Rate: £17.34 per hour (inclusive of shift allowance)

Responsibilities

• Movement of loaded pallets from palletization to wrapper, wrapper to floor spots, and floor spots to conveyor infeed.
• Efficient movement of empty pallets from rack to floor.
• Operating the wrapper machine as required.
• Maintaining high standards of safety and area cleanliness.
• Ensuring accurate placement of pallets in designated marked floor spots.
• Maintaining a high level of awareness when working in pedestrian-interface areas.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience operating a Counterbalance FLT.
• Must hold an in-date, accredited license (RTITB, ITSSAR, or AITT).
• Ability to commit to the long-term, 4-crew shift pattern.
• Possess basic computing skills and effectively follow operational instructions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A proactive, energetic, and "can-do" attitude with a results-driven mindset.
