Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, is recruiting a Counter Sales Supervisor for the Walton-on-Thames branch. You will oversee the Trade Counter and shop floor to deliver excellent service, answer trade customers, process orders, manage stock levels and ensure stock availability aligns with customer demand.

The role includes coordinating deliveries and maintaining health, safety and standards. You will work Monday to Friday 7:00–16:30, with every other Saturday 08:00–12:00.

Qualifications

• Experience working with building merchants or in a trade counter is essential.
• Knowledge of building materials, tools and products is important.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm, positivity and integrity in a busy trade environment.

We are currently recruiting for a Counter Sales Supervisor to join our friendly team, in Walton-On-Thames KT12 2ST.

This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 7:00-16:30, and every other Saturday from 08:00-12:00.

WhatYou’llBe Doing

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the Trade Counter and shop floor, ensuring a high standard of customer service and presentation.
• Serve trade customers, process orders and provide knowledgeable advice on building materials, tools and products.
• Take responsibility for stock control, including stock checks, replenishment, discrepancies and maintaining accurate stock levels.
• Create and process PONs to ensure stock availability meets customer demand and branch requirements.
• Monitor deliveries, checking quantities and condition and resolving any discrepancies where required.
• Build strong relationships with trade customers, identifying sales opportunities and providing a professional, efficient service.
• Support branch operations and work closely with colleagues, suppliers and management to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
• Ensure Health & Safety, housekeeping and company standards are consistently maintained across the Trade Counter and shop floor.
