Job summary

Dnata Catering UK is seeking a detail-oriented Costing/Data Analyst to support menu production, cost builds and loading charts for invoices and deliveries. You will collect and present menu data, ensuring accuracy and timely updates across systems.

Ideal candidates have strong Excel/Word skills, knowledge of pricing policies and the ability to adapt to multiple databases. The role includes supporting tender processes and procurement-related costings, with flexible hours during peak presentations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, present and distribute all agreed menu information promptly.
• Create accurate cost builds of product componentry for airline menus.
• Keep costing data, specifications and pricing up to date.
• Prepare pre-presentation costs and record changes to recipes and weights.
• Photograph meals as required.
• Produce loading ratio grids for delivery notes setup.
• Support airline account systems and generate reports on key data.
• Use dedicated systems to upload menu, loading and pricing information.
• Cleansing and management of data and systems ongoing.
• Assist with tender processes and procurement cost updates.

The Role
Supporting our business with the food costings for menu production and the loading charts for delivery note and billing requirements. You will collate, present and distribute agreed menu information and will participate in the menu presentation process ensuring accurate detail of new menu requirements is captured

Key Responsibilities

• You will be expected to obtain, present, and distribute all agreed menu information in a timely and professional manner.
• You will create accurate cost build of product componentry within our airline customer menus to agreed specifications.
• You will ensure all costing data, specifications and pricing information is updated and maintained as required
• You will participate in the menu presentation process preparing any pre presentation menu costs and specifications. You will be required to record detailed notes ensuring any changes are captured including alterations to recipes and product dish weights.
• Photography of agreed meals.
• You will produce loading ratio grids detailing all information required for the setup of base delivery notes
• Support the business on a day-to-day basis using airline account expertise and system reports to advise on key information such as loading charts, specifications and recipe build/methods
• You will use airline customer dedicated systems as required to obtain and/or upload menu, loading and pricing information
• You will cleanse and manage data and systems on an ongoing basis.
• You will assist the tender process as required and assist with the management of product daily updates and support any procurement related initiatives with appropriate costings activity.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Understanding of food menu costing
• Computer literate with Excel and Word skills
• Ability to adapt to different databases including in house systems
• Financial awareness and understanding of pricing policies including food cost values
• Ability to multi task, work within strict time frames and meet deadlines
• Analytical skills, including attention to detail and accuracy, must be methodical, and logical in the approach to work
• Confidence to challenge data in pursuit of accuracy
• Great communication skills
• Great team spirit
• The confidence to elevate issues accordingly
• Flexibility to adapt to varying hours of work as required by the business particularly at times of menu presentations and in the pursuit of adherence to customer required time frames
