Job Description

Turner & Townsend alinea is recruiting a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support our Real Estate team in helping blue-chip clients achieve their global workplace goals. This role offers opportunities to work with a third of the Fortune 500 companies and grow within a market-leading organization.

The candidate should be self-motivated, client-facing, and capable of managing multiple projects and clients. Responsibilities include client relations, advanced Excel modeling, functional cost planning, and value engineering of CAT A and CAT B fit-outs. The role is primarily pre-construction, with potential involvement in construction phases.

The role involves working within a growing team of Cost Managers, collaborating with external architects, interior designers, and engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize existing digital tools and contribute to creating new tools for clients
• Perform advanced cost modeling (Excel)
• Estimate and perform functional cost planning (CostX)
• Advise and drive value engineering
• Coordinate with economists, clients, and other consultants
• Engage in client interactions, including with senior leadership of Fortune 500 companies

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high-quality cost management or quantity surveying services on Cat A and Cat B fit-outs for corporate clients
• Proficiency in Excel for cost modeling
• Knowledge of Tableau or similar data visualization tools is advantageous
• Experience with digital software for cost management
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
• Working towards a professional qualification (RICS or equivalent)
• Degree or HNC qualification
