Job summary

WSP is seeking an Assistant Consultant in Cost Intelligence and Estimating to support and lead defined elements of estimating, cost planning and benchmarking on major infrastructure projects in the UK. You will work with senior colleagues, develop your skills and contribute to commercial decision-making in a collaborative team.

The role offers hybrid working across UK offices, with opportunities to visit client sites and project locations.

Qualifications

• Qualified or apprentice background in quantity surveying or cost management.
• Experience in preparing, supporting or reviewing cost estimates, cost plans, tender information or commercial reports.
• Interest in infrastructure, construction and the built environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in estimating, cost planning and benchmarking for major programmes across infrastructure.
• Review tender information and support procurement activity to aid decision-making.
• Apply cost data, benchmarks and digital tools to improve accuracy and transparency.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues and project teams, delivering defined outputs on time.
