Job summary

Executive Network Legal Limited in Cheltenham is seeking a Corporate Associate to join a well-regarded national law firm. The role offers exposure to high-quality corporate matters and close work with Partners, developing client relationships and taking increasing responsibility over time.

The successful candidate will bring 2–5 years' PQE with strong experience in corporate transactions and superb drafting/negotiation skills, in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Around 2–5 years' PQE, with expectation of strong corporate exposure.
• Strong experience across a range of corporate transactions.
• Excellent technical and commercial ability.
• Confidence to deal directly with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Genuine interest in business and developing long-term client relationships.
• Ambition to progress within a leading corporate practice.

Responsibilities

• Work on mergers, acquisitions and private equity transactions.
• Assist with corporate reorganisations, restructurings and governance.
• Contribute to joint ventures, share sales and acquisitions, and general advisory work.
• Collaborate with Partners and senior lawyers on complex matters.
• Develop client relationships and manage own matters over time.

The Role

You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse caseload, including:

• Mergers and acquisitions
• Private equity transactions
• Corporate reorganisations and restructurings
• Joint ventures and shareholder arrangements
• Group reorganisations
• Share sales and acquisitions
• Corporate governance and general advisory work
• Supporting senior lawyers on complex and high-value transactions

You will work closely with Partners and senior members of the team while having increasing responsibility for your own matters and client relationships.

About You

We are looking for a Corporate Associate with a strong grounding in corporate law and ideally experience gained within a reputable national, international or leading regional firm.

You will ideally have:

• Around 2–5 years' PQE, although applications from candidates outside this range will be considered
• Strong experience across a range of corporate transactions
• Excellent technical and commercial ability
