Job summary

Executive Network Legal Ltd in Cheltenham seeks a Corporate Associate to join a leading national law firm on a broad range of high-quality corporate matters for UK and international clients.

You will work with Partners and senior lawyers, handling diverse cases and gradually taking on your own matters and client relationships within a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' PQE in corporate law (applications outside this range considered).
• Strong experience across a range of corporate transactions.
• Excellent technical and commercial ability.
• Ability to deal directly with clients.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Genuine interest in business and long-term client relationships.
• Ambition to progress within a leading corporate practice.

Responsibilities

• Work on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions.
• Handle corporate reorganisations, restructurings, and joint ventures.
• Support senior lawyers on high-value transactions.
• Develop client relationships and manage own matters over time.

The Role

You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse caseload, including:

• Mergers and acquisitions
• Private equity transactions
• Corporate reorganisations and restructurings
• Joint ventures and shareholder arrangements
• Group reorganisations
• Share sales and acquisitions
• Corporate governance and general advisory work
• Supporting senior lawyers on complex and high-value transactions

You will work closely with Partners and senior members of the team while having increasing responsibility for your own matters and client relationships.

About You

We are looking for a Corporate Associate with a strong grounding in corporate law and ideally experience gained within a reputable national, international or leading regional firm.

You will ideally have:

• Around 2–5 years' PQE, although applications from candidates outside this range will be considered
• Strong experience across a range of corporate transactions
• Excellent technical and commercial ability
• The confidence to deal directly with clients
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
• A genuine interest in business and developing long-term client relationships
• The ambition to progress your career within a highly regarded corporate practice
