Job summary

Ward Security is recruiting an experienced Security Officer to join our on-site team in Marylebone. You will deliver a front‑of‑house presence, manage site access, monitor CCTV and fire alarms, and patrol multi-tenant premises to ensure safety and a welcoming environment.

The role requires a valid Door Supervisor SIA Licence (CCTV Licence preferred). You will communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and work a 4-on, 4-off night pattern, averaging around 42 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Valid Door Supervisor SIA Licence is essential.
• SIA CCTV Licence preferred but not essential.
• Proven experience as a Security Officer in corporate/multi-tenant environments.
• Ability to provide 5+ years of checkable history as per BS7858 vetting requirements.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a professional front-of-house service and manage site access for staff, tenants, visitors and contractors.
• Monitor CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems; respond to alerts and incidents as needed.
• Carry out regular internal and external patrols of public areas, perimeters and plant rooms; check doors and security assets.
• Identify and report security, maintenance and safety concerns; escalate issues promptly to prevent incidents.
• Respond to emergencies calmly and professionally; apply appropriate conflict management and judgment.
• Maintain detailed incident reports, site activity logs and shift handover records.
• Uphold Ward Security standards and deliver excellent customer service on every shift.
