Job summary

Ward Security is recruiting experienced Security Officers for a busy on‑site team in Farringdon, London. You will manage access, monitor CCTV and fire alarms, and perform regular patrols while delivering a first‑class front‑of‑house service to staff, visitors and contractors.

The role requires a valid Door Supervisor SIA Licence; CCTV Licence is preferred but not essential, with BS7858 vetting history of 5 years or more.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Security Officer in a corporate or high‑profile environment.
• Valid Door Supervisor SIA Licence is essential; CCTV Licence preferred but not essential.
• Ability to provide checkable history per BS7858 vetting requirements (min 5 years).
• Excellent English, professional attitude, and strong reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a professional front‑of‑house service and manage site access.
• Monitor CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems; respond to alerts.
• Carry out regular patrols of public areas, perimeters and plant rooms.
• Identify and report security, maintenance and health & safety concerns.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies with calm, clear decision making.
• Complete detailed incident reports and shift handover entries.
• Uphold Ward Security standards and deliver outstanding customer service.
