Job description

The City of Doncaster Council is a confident, ambitious organisation committed to improving the lives of its residents. We invite you to join us in the role of Corporate Landlord Fire Safety Officer.

We are seeking an experienced fire safety advisor/risk assessor to join our Facilities Team. You will be part of a small team responsible for a portfolio of over 80 properties, including Grade 1 and 2 Listed buildings that support frontline service delivery.

In this role, you will collaborate with on-site building managers to conduct fire safety audits and risk assessments, and to plan and implement fire safety measures. The work is diverse, presenting different challenges daily, including responding to reactive issues, investigating causes, and identifying solutions.

What We Are Looking For
  • Level 3 NEBOSH Fire Safety & Risk Management Certificate
  • Institute of Fire Engineers registered Fire Risk Assessor (desirable)
  • Willingness to work towards Level 4 Fire Safety Certificate (Fire Auditor)
  • Extensive practical experience managing fire safety, including preparing and reviewing fire risk assessments and developing fire safety procedures
  • An enthusiastic, reliable, and resourceful individual capable of working independently, prioritising, and managing workload effectively
  • Proficient ICT skills, including Microsoft Office and computerised databases
