Job summary

Spinwell Global Limited is recruiting a Corporate Finance Manager for a six-month contract in the public sector. The role requires hands-on accounting and full responsibility for corporate finance tasks, including accounts production, VAT, audits, and treasury-related work.

The initial weeks require on-site presence in Rugby, with 4 days a week on site, followed by a reduced on-site schedule. A fully qualified accountant with public sector experience is essential.

Spinwell is recruiting for a Corporate Finance Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CORPORATE FINANCE MANAGER

Including responsibility for and possibly doing:-

• Production of the statement of accounts
• External Audit
• VAT
• CIS returns
• Fixed Asset Register
• Accounts Payable
• Treasury Management and Banking
• Cash Flow
• Delta returns
• WGA
• Anything and everything else that needs doing

For the first couple of weeks will need to be on site in Rugby probably for at least 4 days each week – so that they can understand what is going and to meet all the relevant people

After that it will need a weekly on site presence of 2 or 3 days – depending on business need

SKILLS/EXPERIENCES OF THE CORPORATE FINANCE MANAGER

• Must be a fully Qualified Accountant and member of one of the appropriate bodies
• Must be a fully qualified accountant and be basically, a hands-on technical accountant that will also have all the responsibility for all corporate finance items
• Must be able to produce statement of accounts and be hands on - no managing people who do it
• Must have sufficient and recent experience in District and Borough Councils
• This is not a ‘just manage’ – it’s very many hands on
