Job Description:
This role sits within the Corporate Coverage team which manages relationships between the bank and its corporate clients, offering services across the UK platform and worldwide.
The Corporate Coverage team promotes a wide product suite including M&A, DCM, ECM.
As an Analyst, you will assist in a full range of activities such as marketing, executing, and regulating transactions.
- Accountable as an intermediate/professional within Corporate Coverage for routine activities supporting marketing, origination, and transaction execution, including preparing presentations, pitches, financial analysis, credit papers, and submissions to Risk.
- Apply existing policies and procedures within established guidelines to deliver high-quality, routine outputs for clients.
- Handle routine tasks independently, participate in internal communication with stakeholders, and ensure effective task delivery.
- Maintain and update internal systems related to risk, marketing, and management.
- Contribute to client events, calls, meetings, and sales/deal interactions.
- Undertake risk analysis on a client portfolio, forming opinions on creditworthiness and presenting these to Risk colleagues under supervision.
- Refer complex issues to senior colleagues and delegate tasks to junior team members where appropriate.
- Prioritize workload to support team objectives and personal development.
- Collaborate with team members and other teams, offering solutions to problems.
Experience required:
- 18-24 months experience in a Corporate Banking role or completing a graduate scheme.
- Professional qualification with technical understanding at an intermediate level of Corporate Coverage.
- University degree.
- Strong financial analysis skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Attention to detail and ability to review and improve junior colleagues’ work.
- Good knowledge of BNPP, industry, and products/services, with willingness to develop market awareness.
- Good written and oral English skills to articulate technical issues.
- Ability to guide and support colleagues’ performance and development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email.
