This role sits within the Corporate Coverage team, which is responsible for managing the relationship between the bank and its corporate clients, offering services across the UK platform and worldwide.
The team promotes a wide product suite including M&A, DCM, ECM.
As an Analyst, you will assist in a full range of activities such as marketing, executing, and regulating transactions.
- Accountable for routine activities supporting marketing, origination, and execution of transactions, including preparing presentations, pitches, financial analyses, credit papers, and submissions to Risk.
- Apply existing policies and procedures within established guidelines to deliver high-quality routine outputs for clients.
- Manage routine tasks independently, such as deal execution, portfolio management, client management, risk analysis, and marketing, while engaging with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and update internal systems related to risk, marketing, and management.
- Participate in client events, calls, meetings, and sales/deal-related interactions.
- Undertake risk analysis on client portfolios, forming opinions on creditworthiness and presenting these to Risk colleagues under supervision.
- Refer complex issues to senior colleagues and delegate tasks to junior team members where appropriate.
- Prioritize workload to support team objectives and personal development.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments, offering solutions to problems.
Experience required:
- 18-24 months of experience in a Corporate Banking role or completing a graduate scheme.
- Professional qualification with technical and broad understanding of Corporate Coverage.
- A university degree.
- Strong financial analysis skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Attention to detail and ability to review and improve colleagues' work.
- Good knowledge of BNPP, industry, and products/services, with a willingness to develop market awareness.
- Excellent written and oral English skills to articulate technical issues.
- Ability to support colleagues' performance and development.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and email.
