Job summary

Heart of Worcestershire College is seeking a part-time CORE Tutor to deliver teaching across Pathways and Impact programmes. The role is 0.8 FTE (29.6 hours a week) based at the Worcester campus, with travel to other campuses as required. You will develop ILPs, monitor progress, and provide academic and pastoral support to learners.

The post emphasises engaging learning, inclusion, and collaboration with local communities to support student progression and success.

Qualifications

• CORE Tutor: Level 2 Maths and English
• A level/NVQ Level 3 standard
• Willingness to gain a recognised teaching qualification
• Experience delivering high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment in FE
• Experience supporting learners with barriers to education and engaging learners

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative teaching, learning, and assessment across delivery sites.
• Tutor for learner groups with academic and pastoral support.
• Create and maintain ILPs and progress reviews using ProMonitor and Unit-e.
• Deliver Personal Development programmes and Functional Skills English and Maths.
• Engage with community projects and employer engagement as required.
