Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a versatile 1:1 Core Subjects Tutor for a learner in Wrexham. The role is 5-15 hours per week, starting September 2026, with ongoing duration.

You will provide personalised tuition across core subjects, adapt lessons to individual needs, and record learner progress. Suitable candidates include teachers or experienced tutors with strong knowledge of core curriculum subjects, excellent communication, and flexible planning.

Qualifications

• Previous experience tutoring or teaching children/young people
• Strong knowledge of core curriculum subjects
• Experience delivering 1:1 support is beneficial
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Flexible approach to planning and delivery
• QTS, PGCE or relevant teaching experience desirable
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to process a new application
• Right to Work in the UK
• Two professional references relating to working with children
