University of Bristol's Biomedical building technical team supports labs across Psychology and Neuroscience, Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences, and the Bristol Medical School. A dynamic Core Facility Technician will join the team to support core services for research labs and help scientists deliver world-class research.

Responsibilities

• Ensure core lab tasks are fulfilled daily, weekly or monthly.
• Relocate and connect gas cylinders and maintain gas cylinder supplies.
• Assist with repairs, moves of lab equipment and preparation of spaces.
• Support preparation of simple culture media for bacteria and fruit flies.
• Manage stocks, order consumables and answer emails.
• Promote Health and Safety and engage in related activities.
• Attend team meetings and participate in events like the Technicians Conference.
